[Unboxing] Pretty in Lilac: SVAKOM DuoGlow Unboxing & First Touch
Ling Kwok
It’s a two-part toy with a thrusting shaft and a detachable pulsating stimulator, so I was pretty curious to see how it all looks and feels straight out of the box.
First Impressions
When the package arrived, it honestly just looked like a chic cosmetics or tech box – slim, neat, and very pastel-lilac and white. Nothing loud or awkward on the outside, so if you live with roommates or get it sent to work, it’s not screaming “sex toy” at first glance.
Inside that outer sleeve, there’s a sturdy inner box. Lift the lid and DuoGlow is sitting in a molded tray, presented like a little designer gadget. The colour is that soft lilac you see on the product photos – kind of cute and calm at the same time – with a subtle metallic ring detail that makes it look a bit luxe rather than clinical.

What’s in the Box?
Once you take everything out and lay it on the table, here’s what you get:
-
DuoGlow toy itself – the main thrusting vibrator with the detachable stimulator clipped onto the base.
-
Magnetic USB charging cable – double-ended, snaps onto the contacts instead of using a fiddly port.
-
User manual – quick diagrams, basic button map, care instructions, and warranty info.
-
The packaging box – sounds obvious, but it’s pretty enough that you might actually keep it for storage.
No unnecessary extras, no random plastic bags everywhere – just what you need to get started.

Getting Hands-On with DuoGlow
The toy itself is where things get fun. DuoGlow is basically two toys that lock together:
-
a slim, curved shaft with a double-beaded band inside that’s responsible for the thrusting and spinning sensations,
-
plus a smaller stimulator that pops off and then doubles as a wireless remote when you’re using the main vibrator.
Both parts are made from soft, velvety silicone with ABS inside for structure, and everything feels smooth with no harsh seams. The shaft has a nice gentle curve and a bit of flex, with about 4.5" (115 mm) of insertable length and a fairly modest diameter, so it doesn’t look intimidating when you first pick it up.
The detachable stim is surprisingly comfy to hold – kind of like a small pebble vibe that’s been stretched out a bit – so when you’re using it as a remote, it doesn’t feel awkward in your hand. The magnets and connectors feel solid; you don’t feel like it’ll fall apart when you move it around.
Powering Up & First Try (In My Hand)
Before you can actually play, you do need to charge it. DuoGlow uses that magnetic USB cable in the box – it just clicks onto the little contact points on each part, and you plug the other end into any USB port or adaptor. Full charge takes around 2.5 hours, and you get about an hour of continuous use from each part, which is pretty standard for a toy with this much going on inside.
Once it had some juice, I did what everyone does: I started pushing buttons.
-
The main vibrator has 7 patterns for thrusting/spinning and 7 vibration modes,
-
the stim has 7 pulsation modes,
-
and there are 3 intensity levels to pair with those patterns.
You can absolutely feel the difference between the thrusting band and the regular vibration – the beaded ring gives this rolling, rhythmic movement while the vibration buzz fills in the background. Even just testing it in my hand, it feels… layered? Like more than one thing happening at once instead of just “on/off buzz”.
The surprise moment for me was the heating function. Switch it on and the toy gradually warms up to around 38°C / 100°F, which is close to body temperature. It doesn’t get hot-hot, just pleasantly warm, so it feels less “cold silicone gadget” and more like it belongs against skin.
Noise-wise, it’s pretty discreet. You can hear it if you hold it near your ear, obviously, but it’s that low, muffled motor sound – the kind of thing that would be totally lost behind a closed door or under a blanket.
App & Remote Play – Quick Peek
Because DuoGlow is app-compatible, you’re not stuck just cycling through the buttons on the toy. Once you pair it with the SVAKOM app, you can:
-
control both parts in real time,
-
hand control to a partner (short range or long-distance),
-
create custom patterns,
-
even sync it to music or other sounds if you’re into that kind of thing.
And remember, when you detach the little stim, it also works as a remote on its own, so you don’t have to be on your phone if you don’t want to. Good for those “phone on airplane mode, brain on relax mode” nights.
Build & Comfort Check
A few quick things I noticed while turning it over in my hands:
-
The silicone really is ultra-soft and bendy, especially around the shaft, so it doesn’t feel rigid or plasticky.
-
It’s fully waterproof, so cleaning is simple and you can take it into the shower or bath without worrying.
-
The weight feels balanced – about 248 g total, but split between the main vibrator and the stim, so it doesn’t feel heavy or clunky.

Final Thoughts (From the Unboxing Alone)
Unboxing the Svakom DuoGlow feels a bit like opening a high-end beauty gadget or a fancy facial device – clean design, tidy layout, and everything clearly thought through rather than thrown in. The fact that it’s two toys in one, with heating, a ton of modes, app control, and a remote built into the stim, makes it feel like a pretty serious upgrade from a basic rabbit or bullet.
From just the first charge, button-pressing session, and a little warm-up test in my hand, I’d say DuoGlow is made for people who like options: solo, partner, remote, app, bath, bed… all covered. I’m definitely curious to see how all those different patterns and the detachable design feel in real use – but that’s a story for the full review.
For now, as an unboxing experience? Smooth, discreet, and genuinely exciting to open.
